* Not very good at vacations; was mostly wandering and watching TV.
* Mentioned someone named "Helena." A wife or other similarly close relationship? I suppose a robot who is capable of hate should be capable of love and relationships as well.
* Had been waiting until the City looked less like a freshly bombed-out war zone. Is that the "confusion" he mentioned at one point, that caused his leave of absence? Some sort of robotic equivalent of shell shock?

* Would prefer him dead, but is willing to accept completely and permanently crippled as an alternative.
* Suggested that some sort of very selective amnesia happens when someone is killed and brought back in the City. Is that what happened to Harleen Quinzel, and why she doesn't remember the Joker?
* Not human, though what he is is unspecified.
* Wasn't especially receptive when I suggested organizing a group to hunt the Joker down.

* Is unimpressed by the Batman's apparent silence, is intent on taking down the Joker herself if necessary.
* I had an... unusually long conversation with her about helping her catch the Joker; the need for the police to improve coordination with volunteers before someone like Stark or Osborn does; why I haven't joined the police and the necessity of killing; my being from a time gone by; Nazis and their survival beyond WWII.
* Proposed an arrangement in which I worked with the police unofficially.
* Was not aware that I already had such an arrangement with Police Chief McClane.
* Did not sound pleased to discover this, or possibly that he hadn't told anyone.

Person: Illyana Rasputin

* Had some... poorly worded concerns about the efficacy of the police and whether or not they should even bother in the face of various superhero teams.
* Eventually admitted that she was upset about what The Joker had done to Warren Worthington, and she had lashed out as a result.
* Has died before, of something called the "Legacy Virus." Was resurrected by the demon Belasco using some traces of her left in Limbo, but she turned out differently from what he wanted and he banished her.

Person: Domino

* Confirmed the memory loss associated with resurrection in the City. Also that there is a several day lag between death and resurrection.

Person: Sam Guthrie

* Is immortal, able to come back from death independently of the Porter, more quickly and without the apparent memory issues.
* Has died before, both in their world and the City.

Person: Cable

* Is originally a soldier from the year 3000.
* Was, however, born in the current era, and then taken into the future for unspecified reasons.
* Being from the future gives him a wider perspective that, in Illyana's opinion, causes problems with his team because he doesn't talk to them about it enough.

Person: Starscream

* Reports that Cameron Hodge is dead, for the time being.
* Admits that he has been working with Hodge for a long time.
* Claims he was doing so in an attempt to infiltrate his organization and destroy it from inside.
* Is taking the opportunity to do that, during the time Hodge is dead.
* Is offering proof of various criminal acts on Hodge's part, including the torture of someone named "Layla Miller."
* Was Vice President of Hodge's company, and is using that authority to implement a total restructuring.
* Company has been renamed to StarWave Industries, and will specialize in technology and engineering, with no involvement in anti-mutant campaigning.
* Claims not to know how exactly Hodge died.

Persons: Arnold Rimmer and Penny

* Neither of them seem to remember that Rimmer used to work for Hodge. ...Did someone from one of the X-teams kill them for what was said about it?

Person: The Humanoid Typhoon

* Put Detective Maza in touch with someone who can make an antidote for the Joker's poison.

Event: Unusual Weapon Developments

* North Korea just announced new walking tank technology.
* Each has many heavy guns and rockets.
* The design is... strange. It's a definite leap from what they had, but is also very crude.
* China denies helping N.K. develop them, but is rumored to be developing their own.
* United Nations reports that Iran may be developing energy weapons.
* No one knows where these sudden advances have come from. People with such technology in the City who are selling it?

Person: Marv

* Reported that his psychiatrist -- Dr. Huang -- was (probably) Ported out. (The alternatives Marv listed sounded... unlikely.
* Recently lost his job, after having broken his boss' son's arm. (To be fair, the son was trying to kill Marv with a knife, and is out on parole with a penchant for mugging with a knife.) Boss was understanding enough to give Marv a decent severance.
* Seems to have received super-strength as a power from the Porter. Is now concerned that he might hurt someone by accident.
* Originally from someplace called "Basin City," often shortened to "Sin City." Not one I'm familiar with.

* It's over, except for the aftermath.

Person: Calvin

* Had been taken in by Bel Jones, but was rescued before she could sew her buttons on his eyes and take his soul.
* Issued a very strongly worded warning to any other children on the Network.
* Intends to mostly stay indoors until there is confirmation that she's been dealt with.
* May be taking a job at the police station. Presumably something simple and not involving field work, given his age.
* Has powers of flight and strength sufficient to throw cars.
* Will be taking classes at Xavier's to improve his proficiency with his powers.

Person: Bel Jones

* In addition to shapeshifting, Calvin confirms that she has illusion abilities, and that they seem fully real, affecting all of the senses.

Person: Harvey Dent

* Calvin says he is invincible. Literally, as a power? Possibly.

Person: Tony Stark/Iron Man

* Reports that Raven is dead. It was, apparently, the only way to truly stop the demon inside her.
* Is offering to provide any restitution necessary to help in the recovery of anyone who had been victimized by his actions while under demonic control, even though it wasn't technically him who did the deeds.
* Insists that despite having killed Raven, he does not kill. ...That level of internal dishonesty is concerning, for someone who frequently presents himself as an authority.
* Refuses to assume that the Porter will bring Raven back.
* Self-admitted alcoholic.

Person: Shego

* Quite blatantly extorted a tanning bed, of all things, out of Stark.

Person: Elaine Belloc

* Confirmed that Pride is dead as well as Raven, and that if Raven comes back, it will be without Pride.

Person: Spider-Man

* Demanded that Stark never speak to him again, then immediately cut off the connection. Exactly why is unknown.

* The sins other than Pride have apparently been expunged from their hosts in the last day or so.

Person: Morpheus/Dream

* Woke everyone in the City who was sleeping.
* Caught everyone else's attention as well, as his voice reached into our minds as well as coming from our communicators.
* Was, apparently, dead before being brought here. I would not have expected that to be possible.
* One of the Endless, or at least he was when he was alive. This would be the "serious and scary" brother Dream that Delirium spoke of.
* Says he is now maintaining "his realm" -- "The Dreaming" -- and that all is not well, but not quite so bad as it had apparently been when Delirium and Death had tried to reach theirs.
* Referred to the brother who had left, and who he and Delirium had gone in search of once, as "The Prodigal."
* Doesn't like Desire very much. The antipathy appears mutual.
* Since his death, his role has been filled by someone named "Daniel." He, however, isn't here.
* Takes his responsibility as Lord of Dreams very seriously.
* Had once been imprisonment by the workings of a magician for a century.
* Has a long past acquaintance with Lucifer. It does not seem to be entirely amicable.
* I spoke with him. Very briefly. Really only enough so that he wouldn't just catch me listening in to the conversation. He didn't seem to have any problem with that.

Person: Desire

* Names other members of the Endless: Destiny ("who walks and reads and is chained," "never speaks to mortals"), Despair (spoken of in conjunction with Desire itself).

Person: Starscream

* Prone to nightmares. Specifics unknown. Only barely asked Morpheus to make them less troublesome.

Person: Death

* Quite flustered by her brother's sudden arrival/resurrection.

Person: Delirium

* Names the so-called Prodigal: "Destruction."

Person: Schrodinger

* New arrival.
* German.
* Knows The Major from his world; is under his command.
* Says he exists, "everywhere, and nowhere." If this is literally true, his name may indicate some connections to the quantum mechanics work done by Erwin Schrodinger.
* Warrant Officer by rank.

* Says that she and The Major are allies. Interesting.

Person: Alucard

* A past acquaintance of Schrodinger's (and presumably the Major's). Therefore, presumably they're all from the same universe.
* From the sound of it, said past is likely to have been as adversaries.
* As wary as I sometimes am of dealing with vampires, that could be useful.

Person: Raven

* Very unhappy to have lost her "brothers," intent on re-acquiring them.
* One arm has been injured extensively. Lucifer's work, most likely, although much less severe than I would've expected for the amount of fanfare he put into it.

* On the run, now that he has lost the power the demonic influence gave him.
* All communication got cut off rather abruptly. Whoever was chasing him must have caught him.

* Extraordinarily angry at Harleen Quinzel.
* Obviously very close to Elisa Maza, to be this angry on her behalf.
* He and Demona are not human, but are instead "Gargoyles." Like the statues, presumably. Just what they are -- magical creations, race of fae, etc. -- remains uncertain as yet.

Person: Harleen Quinzel

* Attacked Elisa Maza, badly enough to put her in the hospital.
* Claims to have done it for The Joker.
* Does not seem to understand why anyone would be upset about that.
* Her past association with The Joker makes even more sense now: She, too, is quite insane.

Person: Demona

* Goliath thought she might've hired Quinzel to attack Detective Maza. She denies any involvement.
* She does not, however, deny his claims that she's been killing humans for a thousand years.
* She claims it's been to stop humanity's genocide of her and Goliath's kind, but Goliath's attitude suggests that that is either a fabrication or at least an exaggeration of any troubles they've had with humans.
* Gargoyle.
* When she first arrived, however, she appeared human. The transformative factor of the Porter? Some sort of shape-shifting power? Both? Unknown.

* Has noticed that heroes don't seem to notice when criminals turn up dead.
* Defines "undesirables" as murderers and rapists. Can't say that I disagree.
* We've had a discussion about the nature of Justice.
* I explained how Nazis fit into my own definition of the worst kinds of criminal.
* He knows who I am now.
* He doesn't trust Police Chief McClane. Didn't elaborate on whether it was just because he was police, or if he had some specific issue with him.

Person: Selina Kyle/Catwoman

* Says that California got taken over by something called "The HIVE."
* Explained to me the history Raven's demon half has had in the City.
* Now knows my name.
* Explained that the City has a couple of homunculi named after/representing sins, but they've been around before this started.

Person: Marv

* Says he doesn't like those Rorschach called "undesirable." Speaks well to what I'd thought his story might possibly be.

Event: Seven Deadly Sins

* This must be what Lucifer was talking about, what he, I, and others had sensed.
* Caused by Raven's demon half.
* All of those possessed acquired an additional pair of eyes. Presumably, that's something that comes from Raven's father, Trigon.
* They then gain control over the sin they represent.
* All of them are people Raven is close to in some manner.
* "Born" in the order (after Pride herself) of Envy, Sloth, Greed, Gluttony, Lust, and Wrath.

Person: Raven

* Her own demon represents Pride, the "original sin."
* Considers the other Sins her "family."
* The widespread demonstrations were some sort of an attempt at teaching a lesson about morality and being unable to control oneself. That's the demon's excuse, anyway.

* Demonically possessed to channel the sin of Wrath.
* Set off a riot in Times Square.
* I did what I could to quell as much of it as possible, with tear gas and my fists. That was... difficult, to deal with so many without using lethal force, but it was obvious that the people were being driven to it by means beyond their control.
* I did, however, get the opportunity to kill Anthony Carbone, after he took a shot at me.

Person: Bakura Ryou

* Went to Times Square to try helping people who were rioting.
* This was not a very good idea, as he quickly got overwhelmed.
* Fortunately, he had some sort of shielding ability that kept him safe enough until I could get him out.
* Passed out after he saw me "killed" by Carbone and my subsequent Justice upon him.
* I carried him a few blocks away from the rioting, and once he woke up, he said he could call a friend and would be all right.

Person: Edward Nygma

* Started lootings and robberies in uptown Manhattan.
* His nanites are currently neutralized.

* Could tell the people representing Sins have an extra voice in their heads.
* She can apparently also detect nanites in a person as "buggies."

* Isn't just a shape-shifting, teleporting, heart-eating murderer, but is also a demon.
* "Oldest of the Five Famous Phlebiac Brothers, from the Eight Sphere of Hell."
* Lack of regeneration is confirmed, by his own words. Side effect of the Porter, he says.
* Claims that the hearts have to be fresh, seems to think this excuses his actions.
* Also seems to think that all of the criminals he's used for his meals excuse the times when he's killed innocents that got in his way.
* Hates both vampires and werewolves.
* Currently dead by Lucifer's hand. Just temporary, or did Lucifer somehow circumvent however the City prevents permanent death for the Ported? Unknown; presumably, we'll find out if/when more people start turning up dead with missing hearts.

* Claims to have been imprisoned in, then become ruler of, a demon dimension called Limbo.
* ...That's a fairly generic name for a demon dimension.
* Believes herself to have no soul.
* Her teleportation power takes her through Limbo.

* Offers to provide medical assistance to the Violator.
* Specializes in "unusual biology."
* Known to have connections to Cameron Hodge.

* Apparently warned Violator before about his actions.
* Destroyed Violator for getting caught? I didn't expect he'd be inclined to police the City's demon-kind, which is also larger than I expected.

* This apparently involved some different meaning of the word "mutant" in his world. Something called a "polymorph" was used as an example of this, suggesting that such things have been in the City at one time.
* Doesn't actually have any problems with mutants, in the sense used by the X-Men.
* When he found out his mistake, Warren Worthington had him continue to work for Hodge undercover for some time, to spy on his operation.
* The X-Men and other mutants generally don't seem inclined to give him any credit for any of that.

Person: Penny (formerly #17878259)

* Made a significant mistake in failing to set privacy on when talking to Rimmer about his old job.
* Made it worse by repeated attempts to defend him to people entirely uninclined to listen.
* Not only wouldn't stop when told to by people on all sides, but invited physical retribution from someone with a deep personal grudge with Hodge and anyone associated with him. Martyr complex?

Person: Rictor

* Has been kidnapped and subjected to various tortures by Hodge on multiple occasions, as early as thirteen years old.
* Unsurprisingly, is a very angry, very violent man.

* New arrival.
* Owned a business called "Nightstone Unlimited." The place where her office was, in her world, has been destroyed by Godzilla.
* Apparently also some sort of international criminal -- see below.
* Strangely enough, it sounds like "Dominique Destine" is the alias, and "Demona" the real name. Bears further investigation later.

Person: Andrew Ryan

* Businessman.
* His company -- Ryan Industries -- primarily specializes in construction and maintenance.
* Has, therefore, had a lot of work and made a lot of money as a result of Godzilla and similar disasters.
* Seems to put a lot of stock into personal ingenuity and will to succeed, without regard for the objections of others. It sounds admirable on the surface, but the disdain he has for the City's so-called "heroes," however potentially justified in individual cases, may point to trouble eventually.

Person: Elisa Maza

* Called Destine "Demona."
* Definitely an unpleasant past association from a common world.
* Has stopped Demona/Destine from accomplishing unspecified but presumably criminal activities in both New York and Paris, possibly other places as well.

Person: #6856445

* Also called Destine "Demona."
* Did not sound happy when doing so.

Event: Mass sex changes

* Whatever caused them, they seem to have stopped/reversed themselves.

Person: The Clown

* I'd thought he was probably dirty, but didn't expect him to be a heart-stealing killer.
* A teleporting heart-stealing killer, no less.
* Transforms from a short clown-faced man into a tall, spindly, inhuman form.
* Bleeds glowing green blood when shot.
* "Killed" me while I was undercover, but escaped using his teleportation before I could do more than wound him.
* Fortunately, I had my communicator hidden but recording video, providing proof when I exposed him to the Network.
* Takes the hearts to eat.
* Might not really have been a problem, if he'd managed to keep his focus on criminals instead of killing the occasional innocent.
* Does not appear to have any sort of regenerative capabilities, as he spoke of needing to patch himself back up, rather than just healing.
* Receives a great deal of mockery for his name.

Person: Edward Nygma

* Confirms that The Joker won't appreciate having a second killer clown in The City.
* Seemed to think this was a particularly difficult thing to figure out, for some reason.
* Expects The Joker to retaliate with violence, but not necessarily directly at The Clown. Unfortunate.

* Still on vacation, in Japan, with Logan/Wolverine.
* Fought a ninja cult. Apparently had to do that a lot, in her own world.
* I asked if she'd encountered any Nazis. They're much rarer here, from the sound of it. She suggested I speak to Bucky.

Person: Dr. McNinja

* Says that in his world, there is "separation of church and ninja," to prevent just the sort of thing Catwoman was dealing with.

Person: Elaine Belloc

* Immediately recognized by Mazikeen, Lucifer, and Desire. From their world, then.
* Mazikeen calls her "Demiurgos," which explains a thing or two about what I felt.

* ...Caught me listening in. I explained some of the differences I'm aware of between my world's cosmology and hers.

* #19391718 suggests whatever Nygma's problem is involves tampering with his head. That may be why he can only ask for help indirectly. Nygma confirms and further mentions being "leashed."

Further research:

* Reference materials state that "grey goo" is an umbrella term for what would happen if extremely small machines called "nanotechnology" went berserk and started eating everything to make more of themselves.
* Nanotechnology explains the verse that translated to "nanometers," which would be the scale on which nanotech would operate.
* "And in excess" -- grey goo is nanotech in excess.
* Nanotechnology is the kind of extremely advanced mechanical science Tony Stark could be expected to be involved with, even if he doesn't publicize it.
* So, Stark dosed Nygma with some sort of nanotech for some purpose, including the ability to kill him if he tried to outright tell anyone about it?
